X-STATIC

Zaps are a thing of the past with Dustopper’s X-STATIC! If you use a wood planer or sander, then you are all too familiar with the electricity that it can generate. We've found a way to safely discharge the static electricity that has been formed during dust collection. By adding an electrical discharge pathway, you can safely dispose of your dust. X-Static installs easily, and it’s designed to interact with a wall socket with three openings. The round opening of course is the ground. It also works in shops that have wooden floors. There has been a color change from yellow wire to green wire. The wire is the same gauge, just a different color. IMPORTANT – Only connect the grounding wire to the grounding system. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure their dust collection system is properly grounded. *Free shipping within the continental United States X-STATIC Connection to Dustopper Locate the recommended grounding location near the pickup hose port on the Dustopper PRO. Drill a hole slightly larger than the 8-32 x 5/8” screw. Put the ¼” flat washer on the screw and with a pair of needle-nose pliers from the inside of the PRO insert the screw through the hole and slide on the internal tooth locking washer, the #8 flat washer, and hex nut until snug. Then slide the fork connector of the X-Static in place, then tighten the wing nut until it is snug with X-Static now attached. Now plug the X-Static into a grounded outlet. IMPORTANT STATIC SHOCK WARNING! Static build up can occur in many situations when a vacuum is involved with the collection of dust. The Dustopper® is made of an anti-static resin, but that DOES NOT mean it removes static.
