Being first generation Mexican American is something I take immense pride in. My parents risked everything for my sibling and me. They uprooted their lives in Mexico and moved to a new country. Where they didn’t know the language or the lay of the land. First Generation can be interpreted in many ways. Are you first generation LGBTQ+ in your family? First generation to go to college? First Gen. to heal from generational trauma? As for me, I made this design to wear as a sign of pride in my Mexican Heritage, and to let people know who we are and that we’re here to stay.
