Zafarān

The Zafarān interprets the crocus sativus ("saffron") flower through a refined, sculptural approach. Defined by its open, upward-facing vivid violet petals and bright red stigmas, the Zafarān design captures the moment of the saffron crocus mid-morning in bloom. Crafted from INNOVERA vegan suede and combined with FORAGER mycelium-based material, the flower brings together two next-generation materials with distinct tactile qualities. The soft suede surface contrasts with the structured, bright FORAGER material representing the stigmas. Each element is individually shaped and assembled by hand, creating a subtle sense of tension and movement. Designed as a decorative object, it can be placed in a vase or used in curated arrangements. Crafted from carefully selected vegan leather off-cuts from our production, each piece carries slight variations in tone and texture. This approach extends the lifecycle of existing materials while giving every flower its own identity. Handmade in our German atelier, the Zafarān reflects a balance of material awareness, precision and sculptural clarity. Sold individually (one stem with two flowers) or as a bundle of three (three stems with two flowers each; six flowers in total)
