Installation Step 1 Unscrew the orange upper cover counterclockwise. Installation Step 2 Lift the filter housing cover. Note the position of the red rubber ring; ensure it is placed in the groove on top of the pump body. Installation Step 3 Insert the filter cartridge into the pump body. Put the chamber cover back on and tighten the orange cover clockwise. Installation Step 4 Connect the hoses as shown in the manual illustration. Note: Connect the pump inlet to the lower pool outlet, and the pump outlet to the higher pool inlet. Otherwise, the machine will lack power. Tighten hoses with clamps using a screwdriver (not included). Open both wall plug caps inside the pool and install strainers in each. We provide one 3.9 ft water pipe and three (each) 2.6 ft water pipes, all with an outer diameter of 1.25 in. For optimal performance and safety, ensure the filter chamber is filled with water before turning it on. Q: Are there any specific safety guidelines I should know before running this pool pump? Risk of electric shock. Connect only to a grounding-type receptacle. Do not run the pump dry. The following conditions can affect the lifespan of the machine: The filter needs replacement and cleaning every 2 weeks. Do not operate the pump without a filter cartridge. Do not operate the pump when the inlet or outlet is blocked. The pump inlet is connected to the pool outlet (at a lower level), and the outlet is connected to the pool inlet (at a higher level). Disconnect power before servicing.
