Here's Why You Need Swap-Specific Axles When you swap an H series into a Civic or Integra, you're moving the engine and transmission into a different position than where they sit in the stock Prelude. Hasport's mount kit positions the H series transmission at a specific height and angle so everything clears and the shifter's in the right spot. That positioning means the axle lengths are different from stock. The stock Prelude axles that came with your H22 or H23 are too long or they're at the wrong angle. The stock Civic or Integra axles are too short. You can't just use what you've got. You need axles that are built for the swap.
