KERSA Script Booklet for Puppet Plays ~ 1950-60s Rare!
Founded in 1925, KERSA is one of Europe's most known hand puppet makers. Their brand name stands for "Kreative Erzeugnisse Realisiert im Spielwaren Atelier", a German phrase that expresses their goal to produce artistic products that encourage children's imagination. This is a rare Script Booklet published by the company circa 1950-60s. It features 3 funny Kersa Puppet Plays by Silva Hieber written in German. The stories are: The Magic Shoes, How the Devil Got So Bad Drinking Cod Liver Oil and The Lost Harmonica. The booklet is staple bound and measures 6x8 in. It features 23 black and white text pages. The front and back covers show nice group images of the main characters in colour, as well as a rare list of the puppets produced around that time.
