Bastien Wolber Coteaux Bourguignons Mont Poulain 2023
Burgundy // France A blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Gamay from 90-year-old vines in the lieu-dit Mont Poulain, Pommard. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented as whole bunches in covered oak or steel tanks, with some bunches lightly crushed to start fermentation with pied de cuve. Maceration lasted 14 days in a semi-carbonique style, before pressing and resting for 18 months in old Burgundy barrels. No fining or filtration. A fragrant, fruity wine with fine acidity and red berry notes which will develop more expression with age.
