The Nokokari Serrated Hedge Shears (No. 402) are hand-forged in Ono City, Japan by Yoshioka Hamono and designed for high-precision pruning. Featuring one straight blade and one serrated blade, they "bite" into branches, preventing the wood from sliding toward the tips. This ensures clean, controlled cuts on both soft greenery and tougher growth. Equipped with Japanese White Oak handles, the No. 402 provides superior leverage for effortless cutting and a greater reach for tall hedges and wide shrubs. While the serrated edge offers a surgical grip, the longer handle design makes them the ideal choice for shaping larger topiary and O-karikomi (shrub trimming) above shoulder height or in hard-to-reach areas. Crafted from SK-5 high-carbon steel, they will comfortably cut green wood up to 15mm thick.
