BIO Formed in October 2013, KOZMOTRON is a Belgian space rock band, setting off on an exploration trip throughout the sonic omniverse. Their newest record "Beyond Event Horizon" incorporates elements of jazz, noise, dub and funk to deliver a truly space and time bending epic “space rock” journey. Always-unpredictable and forever-weird! Anything Is Possible Kozmotron keeps blending different musical influences. Mixing psychedelic rock with jazz, funk, prog, doom, blues, world music and even a dash of cheesy-hippie-feel-good vibes. It seems that the simple, ready-made label of "space-rock" really no longer covers the load. For their fourth studio album, the Kozmotronauts are again taking a different approach. While the previous release was more high energy and riff-based, this one is more of a journey through different atmospheres. From bombastic harmonies drenched in space noise; to almost intimate, melodic pieces. Heavy, dark and gloomy one minute; glorious and uplifting the next. At times exploring tricky polyrhythmic structures; at times just simply riding the groove and letting solos wail. The overall dynamic flow of the album should guide the listener through various states of mind, delivering catharsis at the end. *Support your local Alien Underground !!!* ---Earth year 2013--- Sonic starcruiser KOZMOTRON was groovily truckin' along on its voyage beyond event horizon. While observing an obscure body in the SK system (referred to by its inhabitants as planet "Earth"), the ship's diatonic propulsion unit suffered a catastrophic failure. A devastating crash into Earth's surface was inevitable, leaving the ship a total loss. The surviving Kozmotronauts found themselves stranded on a weird blue planet, without any means of phoning home. Luckily, with the support of the local Alien Underground, they were able to regroup and establish a new base on Earth, from where they keep broadcasting sonic messages of love and positive vibrations across a planet in need... When your musical voyage takes you beyond event horizon, anything is possible!!
