White Ikat Saree With Hand Embroidery

Handloom ikat cotton combined with traditional Banjara embroidery from Telangana. These are weft ikat sarees - this is a complex weaving process in which the pre-dyed yarns are loaded onto the shuttle of the loom. The intricate patterns are literally woven into the fabric. The fabric is a soft pure cotton that will drape beautifully. The saree has classic embroidery that is associated with the Banjara or Lambada tribes of Telangana and Karnataka. Stand out in the crowd with the beautiful square mirror motifs that are on the pallu and all along the top and bottom borders. Please note that this saree does not have a blouse piece.
