2025 Jules Taylor Grüner Veltliner

Jules Taylor Grüner Veltliner is a great example of why this Austrian grape has become so popular outside its homeland. Made in Marlborough, it combines the freshness and purity New Zealand does so well with the spicy, textured character that makes Grüner Veltliner so distinctive. The nose is full of ripe citrus, peach and blossom aromas with a subtle smoky spice underneath. On the palate there’s plenty of freshness but also more weight and texture than you might expect, with notes of stone fruit, white pepper and a gentle mineral edge carrying through to a long, clean finish. Dry, vibrant and hugely food-friendly, this is the kind of white that works brilliantly with Asian dishes, seafood or simply on its own in the sunshine.
