How to use Add the required amount straight into the water; the dye will spread naturally through normal water movement. Circulation can be enhanced by keeping water features running, which helps the dye distribute more evenly throughout the water. Blackout should be applied near the shoreline at various locations around the lake or pond to achieve the best coverage. Reapplications of Blackout will help maintain the desired water colour throughout the season. This product should NOT be applied to streams, rivers, outflows or water not completely controlled by the user. Application rate: 2.5 - 5L/ha of water. Please note: In smaller ponds, you may need to increase the application rate to achieve the required appearance.
