Kashi - Aventurine Choker Necklace

From the Sindhi Craft series by Orah Jewels and Crafts. Kashi takes its name from the tilework that defines the architectural language of Hala, a town in interior Sindh where artisans have worked in clay, lacquer, and enamel for over four centuries. The pendant is set with a pear drop aventurine sourced from Swat Valley, KPK. Aventurine is a quartz variety distinguished by fuchsite mica platelets oriented within the stone. This produces aventurescence, an optical effect where the stone holds a soft sparkle from within that shifts as the angle of light changes. The green of Swat aventurine is composed and earthy, reading somewhere between sage and celadon. The pear drop cut gives the stone a downward movement, extending the visual line of the neck. The pendant and chain are worked in brass, a material that holds fine relief detail without losing it at scale. The Hala inspired patterning on the pendant face is rendered with the precision found in the original architectural tile work.
