The Faraway Garden Fable Sundial is a classic design consisting of a detailed brass indicator, or Gnomon, on a gently rounded top with a uniquely fluted column and an octagonal base. Our impressively detailed antique silicon bronze indicators have been sourced in New Zealand and are accurate for the Southern Hemisphere. This premium quality metal ages organically to a beautiful patina. This statement sundial looks wonderful as a centrepiece in a formal rose garden or parterre; or placed within a mass planting, at the end of green walk or in a rambling herbaceous border. Care instruction: It is essential that all pedestals are sited on a firm and level area. An 8 to 1 sand/cement bedding mortar should be used to ensure that the weight of planter, urn or statue is spread evenly across the base of the pedestal avoiding any pivoting or twisting strain.
