Dr Seidel Specialist Selenium Shampoo is a medicated concentrate shampoo formulated for dogs with skin conditions including dry seborrhoea, dandruff, severe itching, excessive desquamation, and skin reddening. Containing Selenium Disulphide as the active substance, it exerts an anti-mitotic effect on epidermal cells and hair follicles, inhibiting excessive skin flaking, reducing redness and pruritus, and helping to treat Malassezia-induced skin infections. Seborrhoea & Dandruff Relief: Targets dry seborrhoea and dandruff by regulating skin cell turnover and reducing excessive flaking. Reduces Itching & Redness: Selenium Disulphide helps calm pruritus and skin reddening associated with chronic skin conditions. Keratolytic & Keratoplastic Action: Effectively removes even the most resistant skin debris and dirt from the skin surface. Antifungal Support: Degreasing properties help address Malassezia-induced skin infections. Chlorhexidine Digluconate: Added antibacterial ingredient for enhanced skin hygiene and infection control. Wet the coat with lukewarm water and apply the shampoo to create a rich foam. Leave for a few minutes then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until all foam is completely removed. Pat dry with a towel and allow your dog to shake off any remaining water. Repeat if necessary. Protect eyes, ears, and mouth during application. Important Notes Not recommended for oily seborrhoea or oily dandruff. Shake well before use. May leave stains on white-coated dogs due to active selenium content. Increased skin exfoliation may be observed after the first wash, this is normal and disappears after two or three baths. Store at room temperature and protect from light.
