Sisal twine is made from a natural plant fiber, and is a strong economical, “workhorse” twine. Sisal twine is offered in a 1,2 or 3 ply construction. This is the number of strands used to make the finished twine. Packaging The plied tying twine is packaged in 10 Lb. center pull cartons, or on 50 Lb. bulk reels. This sisal tying twine will yield 350 feet per lb. in the one ply, down to 110 feet per lb. in the 3 ply. Sisal baler or binder twine comes put up on tubes usually in a 5 lb. put-up, with 100 Lbs. per bale. It is a one ply construction, and is primarily used in agricultural applications. Sisal products are also used in foundry or molding operations.
