This reddish-brown color became popular during the Edo period (1603-1867). It has been used in Japanese irezumi for a very long time, at a time when color choices were very limited. Using Bengara, Shu, and my Sumi set allows me to recreate a very "old-fashioned" atmosphere and style. All SOLID INK pigments are vegan and cruelty-free. Made in the USA.
