Then moisture is removed from the food through sublimation, which converts water into vapor. This process protects the food's nutritional value as well as giving the food a shelf life of up to 10 years! How to Store/Use : MEAL: recommended to rehydrate the food before consumption by using at least equal the amount of warm water compared to the amount of the freeze dried food TREAT: no rehydration needed Will last years if stored correctly Do not refrigerate Store in a dry, cool place out of direct sunlight A simple starting point when feeding as a meal: feed 1/4 the amount of freeze dry compared to raw before any water is added. For example, a 50lb dog at 3% would get 1.5lb of raw or 6 oz of freeze dry without water added daily. Adjust accordingly.
