Region: Languedoc, France Grape: Viognier Vegan: Yes Low Sulphur: Yes Exclusive to Gnarly Vines and Clapton Craft, the 5 O'Clock red, white and rosé are made for us by Alma Cersius, a quality and ecologically minded co-operative of 150 growers near Béziers in the Languedoc. Here the sea breeze coming from the Mediterranean is often accompanied by the Cers; a cold, dry and bracing wind which comes in from the Pyrenees to the west, creating typically sun-drenched southern French wines but with great freshness and sapidity. This is the Viognier, a ripe and generous wine with fleshy stone fruit aromas of peach and apricot balanced by a crisp green apple acidity.
