Every stump needs a base. Choose the one that suits how you're fixing to the ground. Cast-In — for new pours. The base plate sits in the concrete pier and gives you a stronger foundation through increased surface area. Suits 75 or 90mm SHS posts. Bolt Down (2 Hole) — for fixing onto an existing concrete pad with chemical anchors. 14mm bolt clearance hole each side of the stump, 8mm baseplate. Bolt Down (4 Hole) — when the engineer wants more pull-out strength. Bolts at all four corners give you greater stability under load. 10mm baseplate.
