Kokedema Workshop

When: Friday June 5th @ 7pm Where: Meraki Market, 140 Kings Hwy E Haddonfield, NJ 08033 What: The art of kokedoma originated 500 years ago by Japanese Artists who wanted to stay connected to the forest even though they could no longer live near it. In Japanese culture, moss is used as a metaphor for the passage of time, longevity, something that stays in one place and becomes one with its surroundings. The word kokedoma literally means plant in moss. This planting style allows you to grow your plant wrapped in moss rather than a pot. You can hang your plant in a window or place it on a plate and place on a shelf with light! your ticket includes: instruction and supplies needed to create a Kokedama with your choice of 4" plant Please arrive a few minutes early to get checked in at the register and settled with your beverage, we cannot wait to see you!
