"Kurotake Chashaku" Black Bamboo Matcha Scoop

Made by Tanimura Tango, a 20th-generation artisan carrying forward a 500-year lineage of bamboo tea utensil craftsmanship from Takayama, the historic center of chasen making. Each piece is shaped from kurotake (naturally dark bamboo), prized for its depth of tone and subtle variation. A small number of pieces were sourced during a recent visit to his workshop in Nara.
