2024 Aard Chardonnay

Aard are the natural wines of Annabelle Koopman and her partner Bart, grown on her parents organically certified Hope's Grove vineyard. This Chardonnay is made from two clones of the grape, picked at three different ripeness levels. The wine is aged for 20 months on the full lees, then blended a few days before hand bottling. The result is a wonderfully creamy texture with a distinct lees character alongside bright stone fruit flavours. In keeping with Aard's natural wine philosophy there's nothing add and nothing taken away - an intriguing example of a Hawkes Bay Chardonnay.
