This is the kind of Guatemalan coffee we don't get to offer often, and that rarity is earned. Sourced from a private lot from the high-altitude Fraijanes plateau, the Guatemala Orange Bourbon is clean, bright, and beautifully composed. It opens with a gentle honey sweetness, moves through bright mandarin and delicate black tea, and finishes with a crisp apple note that lingers just long enough. Refined, gently citric, and naturally sweet — this one makes a strong case for itself without trying too hard. Every Cup of Coffee Has a Story The Fraijanes Plateau is one of Guatemala's eight recognized coffee-growing regions, nestled at high altitude on the country's volcanic ridge. Rich mineral soils, strong sun exposure, and cool nights slow the cherry development in a way that produces cups that are consistently clean, bright, and full of character. Orange Bourbon is an heirloom varietal prized for its natural fruit-forward complexity and delicate sweetness. It's also genuinely rare — most Orange Bourbon grows in small, privately lots that rarely reach beyond the farm. Washed processing is a natural fit: by removing the fruit cherry before drying, every quality the varietal has to offer comes through with clarity. The mandarin brightness, the honeysuckle, the clean apple finish are present and unobscured. This lot comes from a single estate, and it isn't a coffee that typically makes it to the public.
