Hermit Card 2.0

This work was inspired by a tarot card reading I had on my 40th birthday. I was dealt the Hermit card and was disappointed thinking it suggested I would be alone for the rest of my life. After more research about the card I discovered the card is quite beautiful. It represents entering a time of introspection and soul searching. A time of solitude. I created a Hermit Card piece in 2024 which showcased the Hermit setting out on his journey, he was in the night sky, in the dark. This piece, completed in 2026 showcases the Hermit coming out of his journey, he is in the light. He stands upon the mountain peak. He has fulfilled his journey of self reflection and has done the inner work and healing which is a journey I have been on myself. He is surrounded by several friends including the owl, the ladybug and the butterfly. This piece is rich in color and symbolism. Butterfly- transition and rebirth Owl- representing a guide through personal transformation Ladybug- positive transformation, their arrival serves as a signal to trust the Divine timing and renewal 8 pointed star- new beginnings
