People = Shit opens the album with a blast of fury that set the tone for the entire record. Disasterpiece is a seven-minute assault that became one of the band's most celebrated tracks. The Heretic Anthem builds around a massive, headbanging riff. My Plague and Left Behind are among the album's more accessible moments, while the fifteen-minute title track Iowa closes the album with a harrowing descent into noise and feedback.
