Zwartbles DK – undyed dark brown British wool yarn

Zwartbles DK is a bouncy, round yarn that offers good stitch definition and structure. The rich, dark brown has tiny flecks of grey for subtle visual interest. The wool is from a smallholding just a couple of villages away here in south-west Wiltshire, and was going to be used as compost. I carefully sorted and skirted it, choosing only the best fibres. The yarn is semi-worsted spun at Rampisham Hill Mill in Dorset. The yarn is springy and slightly dense; it'll be perfect for structured everyday garments, large cables and bold texture.
