Pulp Nouveau pendant Bronze and Kambaba jasper - OOAK 1
Bronze pendant from the ‘Pulp Nouveau’ collection, crafted from bronze and kambaba jasper. One-of-a-kind piece, model 1. The stone is teardrop-shaped and is held in place by a setting of tentacles that have been sculpted to complement the stone’s own green and black veining and patterns. The bronze setting, hand-modelled in wax directly on the stone, is cast in bronze using the micro-casting technique. The rear settings are reinforced with epoxy putty to secure the stone 100% without damaging it. All finishes are applied by hand. Each stone is unique and, therefore, so is each piece, as they are created in harmony, making the whole collection unique and one-of-a-kind. The piece measures almost 5cm long by 2.5cm wide. The pendant comes with a 50cm black leather cord (if you require a different length, please specify this in the “message to the seller” box when placing your order). The clasps are made of gold-plated steel and bronze, and you can choose between a simple clasp with two rings and a lobster clasp, or one with an extension chain. Everything is included in the price. The piece is sold as is, with no possibility of making any alterations to it. Kambaba jasper originates from South Africa and Madagascar; it is an orbicular jasper (meaning it has spherical inclusions of different colours) and is also known as green stromatolite jasper because, essentially, they are fossilised stromatolites. A stromatolite is a structure formed by algae and sediments in ancient warm oceans. Some are over 3 billion years old.
