👨🏼🌾 White wine made by Simon Gastrein. A Northern Rhône Viognier that avoids the caricature of a grape variety that is too heavy or too perfumed. From a granite hillside, it is crafted in Simon Gastrein's very free spirit, with vines grown without pesticides and a low-intervention winemaking process that primarily seeks freshness. The wine opens with peach and apricot, with a floral touch and a hint of sweet spices. The palate retains volume but is well-held by a clean acidity and a more mineral finish than expected.
