Scientific name: Ptercarpus macrocarpus Common Names: Duahanga, Pradoo, Maidou Description: Heartwood is yellowish red to brick red with occasional darker lines which on exposure tones down to an attractive golden brown. Grain is straight but, can be interlocked producing a narrow ribbon, curl or mottled figure. Turns and machines well. Region: Southeast Asia
