Apeks XTX50 DST Regulator
Apeks XTX50 DST β Reliability and Performance for Every Dive The Apeks XTX50 DST is a full-featured regulator designed for those who demand uncompromising durability, comfort, and performance. The overbalanced DST first stage with a swiveling turret is paired with a pneumatically balanced XTX series second stage, ensuring smooth and controlled breathing from the surface to maximum depth. Designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom. π΅ First Stage β Overbalanced DST with Swiveling Turret Overbalanced diaphragm design: The DST first stage delivers an intermediate pressure that progressively increases with depth, ensuring maximum breathing performance even in the most demanding dives. Swiveling turret style: The 4 MP ports are mounted on a rotating turret, which reduces hose strain and allows for optimal hose routing, eliminating tight bends and improving overall comfort. Environmentally sealed system (Dry Kit standard): The dry chamber prevents water from coming into contact with the main spring, preventing freezing in cold water and protecting internal mechanisms from silt and contaminants. Trivalent chromium finish on marine brass: Trivalent chromium requires less energy than traditional chromium and is more environmentally friendly, without compromising corrosion resistance. Dust cap: Protects the first stage inlet from water and debris when not in use. 2 HP ports (7/16" UNF) and 4 MP ports (3/8" UNF) on the turret. Available in DIN and INT (A-clamp) versions. π΅ Second Stage β Pneumatically Balanced XTX Pneumatic balancing: Inhalation effort remains constant and reduced regardless of depth and residual cylinder pressure, for consistently natural breathing. Progressive purge button: Large and easy to operate even with gloves, it allows precise control of airflow β side pressure for a reduced and controlled purge (ideal for inflating an SMB), central pressure to maximize the purge effect. Adjustable Venturi lever: With a soft rubber grip, it stops internal airflow to prevent accidental free-flows on the surface (β position) and optimizes breathing underwater (+ position). Inhalation effort control knob: Allows precise adjustment of valve sensitivity according to current conditions and diver preferences. Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE): Supplied with 2 sets of exhaust tees, allowing you to choose between a compact configuration or one with optimal bubble deflection β replaceable without tools. Patented heat exchanger: Surrounds the valve mechanism and dissipates the cold generated by gas expansion, drawing heat from the surrounding water β essential for cold water diving. Silicone exhaust valve: Reduces exhalation resistance, improving overall breathing performance. Patented Comfo-Biteβ’ mouthpiece: Ergonomic design virtually reduces jaw fatigue during prolonged dives, ensuring a more comfortable and stable grip. Reversible barrel: The second stage can be easily converted for right or left-hand hose routing, without tools. Active antimicrobial protection: All molded parts contain an additive that combats fungi, bacteria, viruses, molds, yeasts, and algae β ideal for shared use or rental. Flexible braided hose included. π Technical Specifications Connections: DIN / INT (A-clamp) First stage: Overbalanced diaphragm, environmentally sealed (Dry Kit standard) Body: Swiveling turret with MP ports HP ports: 2 Γ 7/16" UNF MP ports: 4 Γ 3/8" UNF Finish: Trivalent chrome on marine brass Second stage: Pneumatically balanced Orientation: Right/left configurable Heat exchanger: Yes (anti-freeze) Cold water use: Yes WOB (Work of Breathing): Average 0.70 J/L Nitrox compatibility: Yes up to 40% Oβ (standard) / 100% Oβ cleanable Weight: INT 1,269 g / DIN 1,139 g Certification: EN250 / CE (PPE Category III) Origin: Designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom Packaging: No single-use plastic β Who it's for The XTX50 DST is the ideal choice for: Advanced and technical divers who dive in cold water or demanding conditions Those seeking a versatile regulator with optimal hose routing thanks to the swiveling turret Dive centers and schools that need reliable, hygienic, and easy-to-maintain equipment Divers who are sustainability-conscious, thanks to the trivalent chromium finish and plastic-free packaging
