This poster features an image of legendary bluesman T-Bone Walker who had died a few years prior and lists the performers for the 1978 festival including Lowell Fulson, Harmonica George Smith, Sugar Pie DeSanto, Rod Piazza, Smokey Wilson, Omar Hakim Khayam, Guitar Curtis, Charles Huff, The Hummel Thompson Blues Ensemble, Lonesome Sundown, Louisiana Red, Phillip Walker, Queen Ida, Mark Naftalin, Thunderbirds and Isaac Scott. The San Fransico Blues Festival was founded and produced by Tom Mazzolini and ran from 1973 to 2008. When this beloved celebration of American blues music finally came to an end after a run of 37 years it was the longest running blues festival in the United States. This poster is a vintage original from the 1978 festival in excellent condition. This poster is free of tape or pinholes and shows only slight handling wear. Overall condition is excellent.
