Features: Built for track and road use, the lightweight S-R7 Helmet combines advanced carbon composite construction with Alpinestars performance technology. Advanced aerodynamics, optimized airflow, and a precision EPS liner deliver strong protection and lasting comfort. Outer Shell: Advanced multi-composite shell construction uses pre-preg epoxy resin for strength and performance. Carbon, aramid, and fiberglass layers keep the helmet light while enhancing protection, energy dissipation, and penetration resistance. Collarbone recesses with dual PLASMA inserts help absorb impact and reduce injury risk during a slide. An optimized eye port and head position provide 220° peripheral and 57° vertical vision. Inner Shell: A multi-density EPS liner uses seven pieces across six densities for targeted impact absorption. Size-specific EPS dimensions align with three outer shell sizes for a better fit. A flush EPS surface with Alpinestars coating is designed to improve rotational impact protection. Its low-friction slip plane mimics the brain’s natural defense against oblique impacts. By reducing rotational acceleration during impact, it helps lower the risk of concussion and other brain injuries. Aerodynamics: The S-R7 delivers low drag and excellent high-speed stability to help reduce neck strain. An integrated spoiler and lateral winglets minimize turbulence and drag while improving stability. Ventilation Ten ventilation ports—six intake and four exhaust—help maximize airflow and cooling. Chin vent airflow is directed across the shield to reduce fogging. A slidable top vent opens three air channels for added cooling. Chin bar extractor vents help pull humid air out of the helmet. Shield: Includes an ECE 22.06 homologated optical Class 1 shield with double-sided anti-scratch treatment. Shield thickness ranges from 1.6 mm at the sides to 2.6 mm at the center. Pinlock® 120XLT 100% Max Vision lens pins are included. The visor uses a secure tool-less quick-release system for easy removal and a complete seal. A-Head Fitment System A micro-adjustable pad lets riders fine-tune helmet depth and tilt for a more personalized fit. Removable Lining: All linings are removable, washable, and treated with anti-microbial fabric. 3D foam cheek pads include eyeglass channels, an Emergency Release System, and a hydration tube channel. Accessories: Includes a clear visor, Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ anti-fog lens, breath deflector, chin curtain, and soft bag.
