Cambridge Open Studios 2026
Cambridge Open Studios returns this July, with 40 artists and makers from the Ely area taking part in one of the region’s most loved annual arts events. Across four weekends, artists will open their studios, homes and creative workspaces to the public, offering visitors a rare opportunity to meet makers face-to-face, see where art is created and discover original work in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The Ely area has a wonderfully varied creative community, with participating artists and makers working across painting, printmaking, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, sculpture, photography, glass, mixed media, illustration and contemporary craft. Visitors can plan their own route, visit studios close to home, follow local art trails and explore venues across Ely and surrounding villages. Each visit offers something different. Some artists will be showing finished work, while others may share sketchbooks, materials, tools or works in progress, giving visitors an insight into the creative process behind the art. Cambridge Open Studios is free to visit and open to everyone. It is a lovely way to enjoy a summer day out, discover new artists, support local makers and explore the area from a different perspective. Full artist listings, maps, opening weekends and venue details will be available on the Cambridge Open Studios website.
