Vintage UnoAErre Chubby Ribbed Hoops

UnoAErre is one of those names that makes collectors pay attention. The Italian manufacturer built their reputation on exceptional construction and a 9ct gold alloy with a colour that punches well above its carat. These hoops are a perfect example of both. What I love about this particular pair is the proportion. Big, chubby, doughnutty hoops are surprisingly hard to find in the vintage market. You get plenty of large hoops, but large tends to mean wide diameter rather than this satisfying, substantial, notice-me thickness. This is the proportion people are always looking for.
