Based on our SHAMROCK as the base model, Joel Andersson’s Pocket Melodeon Tuning greatly expands the instrument’s versatility. The tuning and playing style correspond to those of a single-row button accordion, also known as a melodeon or simply a “box.” Melodeon players can therefore pick up the instrument quickly and intuitively without having to learn it from scratch. The SHAMROCK Pocket Melodeon is particularly well-suited for: traditional Irish music Cajun music French folk music and Québécois (a French-Canadian style) all other genres in which the single-row melodeon is used The SHAMROCK Pocket Melodeon’s special partial valving system enables a very efficient response with minimal air consumption, guarantees a wide dynamic range, and is very easy to maintain.
