Cyralis Screening Kit

SIELC presents a new line of 1.5-micron nonporous analogues of our Cyralis™ family. Their intended use is ultrafast chiral screening. Screening extensive libraries of new chiral compounds can take days with standard porous columns with lengths of 150 mm or greater. SIELC’s nonporous chiral phases can produce a binary yes/no answer regarding CSP–analyte interaction much faster. Nonporous particles maximize Rs/t because analytes do not need to enter particle pores before eluting from the column, reducing the diffusion term of the van Deemter equation. The trade-off is a reduction in sample capacity. The Cyralis screening kit consists of 1.5 micron, nonporous versions of all of SIELC’s current polysaccharide phases (AM, CM, AL and CL) on a 4.6 x 50 mm column. They are sold together to aid in chiral screening of compounds whose affinity for each of the polysaccharide phases is unknown.
