Jessica Blue Bower Art | Bookmark – Prehistoric forest |
Ferns grew on Earth long before the first flowers, and Prehistoric Forest leans into that ancient feel. Fronds of bracken fern (Pteridium esculentum) overlap in deep teal with a hint of violet. I collected them on my conservation property in the Southern Tablelands of NSW, after years working as a CSIRO conservation ecologist. This bookmark is printed from my handmade cyanotype and sits neatly in a field guide, a gardening book or a nature journal. The sleeve has space for a message, so the gift and card arrive together. A good choice for nature lovers, gardeners and anyone who reads about the natural world.
