Throwing Workshop - December 30th 2026, 12:30-2:30pm

Join us at the Charlotte Manser Ceramics Studio for a 2 hour wheel throwing workshop hosted by Charlotte Manser. This workshop is suitable for all making abilities - even if you have never touched clay before. Charlotte will assist all students in the group of 8 maximum throughout the session to make improvements, understand centering, coning and form a piece on the pottery wheel. Charlotte will teach the techniques , provide direction to what forms students can make but students can ultimately let their creatively flow and make what they please! Students pieces will be fired and clear glazed. All pieces will be ready to collect in 3 weeks time or they can be posted to the student at a cost of £5. All materials and equipment will be provided Cost - £40 per person, per workshop. Date - Wednesday December 30th from 12:30-2:30pm Materials - all materials will be provided, including clay, glaze and kiln firings. Location - all workshops will be held at the Charlotte Manser Ceramics Studio, South Fawley Farm, OX129NL. Facilities - Our studio contains 10 pottery wheels, hand-building work benches, a glazing area, a slab roller, an extruder, and many different glazes. Students will not have access to the kilns but work will be fired when dried and weekly kilns will be running. What to wear - we are in a barn which can get hot when it’s warm out and cold when the weather is chilly. Dietary Requirements - please let us know of any dietary requirements which may effect your experience. Deposit - if you choose to no longer attend the course the payment will not be refunded. If the course is cancelled or rearranged by Charlotte Manser Ceramics Ltd then the deposit will be refunded.
