Allure MD Mating Disruption

Allure® MD is a pheromone product for control of lepidopteran pests of stored products by disruption of mating communication. Each dispenser contains 372 mg of pheromone and releases Z-9, E-12-Tetradecadien-1-yl acetate (93.0%) to interfere with the mating communication of the stored product moths named on the label. The label covers almond moth, Indian meal moth, Mediterranean flour moth, tropical warehouse moth (cocoa moth), tobacco moth and raisin moth. Labeled sites include bakeries, food and feed manufacturing facilities, meat packing and food processing plants, mills, warehouses, supermarkets, restaurants and retail establishments. Deploy dispensers after stored product moths are detected in pheromone monitoring traps. The label directs placing dispensers every 20 to 40 feet at chest height along the perimeter of the area to be treated, placing additional dispensers on interior support structures (target one dispenser per 500 to 1,500 sq ft), and replacing dispensers every 90 days. Continued pheromone trap monitoring is recommended in treated areas. The label notes that if pest population densities are excessively high, disruption of mating will be less effective, and that insecticide applications are then recommended to reduce populations to manageable levels.
