Epiphone Masterbuilt Century De Luxe | Vintage Natural | 2016

Long before Epiphone was purchased by Gibson in 1957, Epiphone had been producing high end archtop guitars, double basses and other musical instruments. This Masterbuilt Century De Luxe is a return to form of the high end, excellent quality instruments that the company had been producing since the late 1920s. This big, 17” inch archtop guitar features a high quality carved spruce top, providing a powerful mid range punch with plenty of projection and clarity. Adding to this power is a very well designed, discreet electric pickup system. This instrument is fitted with a Shadow NanoFlex HD Under saddle pickup and eSonic HD preamp, with discreet volume and tone controls tucked inside the treble F hole. The feel of this guitar is decidedly vintage. An authoritatively big C profile neck feels solid without being overkill. 55mm string width at the bridge is nice and wide and well suited to finger style articulate playing as well as strumming and single note work. At a light 2.54kg, and supplied with its original hard shell case, this elegant and sophisticated guitar is capable of a lot more than its classic looks would imply. ______________________________ Brand: Epiphone Model: Masterbuilt Century De Luxe V/N Country: Indonesia Year: 2016 Serial: 16072XXXXXX Case: OHSC Body: Vintage Natural Neck: Vintage Natural Finish: Lacquer Body Material: Laminated Maple with Carved spruce top Neck Material: Mahogany with Maple Stripes Fretboard Material: Ebony Scale Length: 25.5” Frets: 20, Medium Jumbo Radius: 12” Profile: Med, Thick C Action (Low E): 2.1mm Nut: 42.8mm 12th Fret: 54.4mm String Width at Bridge: 55mm 1st Fret Depth: 22.7mm 10th Fret Depth: 25.6mm Pickups: eSonic HD Preamp and Shadow NanoFlex HD under-saddle pickup system, with volume and tone controls concealed inside the treble-side f-hole Pick Guard: Tortoiseshell with 5 ply binding Tuners: Epiphone Reissue with Marboloid "Crown" buttons Hardware: Nickel Weight: 2.54kg, 5.6lbs
