2.75–2.85mm Sapphire — Set (3) — Teal Blue These 2.75–2.85mm Sapphires have a beautiful mix of medium-toned teal blue, ocean blue and blue-green hues, with subtle grayish and greenish undertones. Their distinctive coloring shifts between blue and green depending on the light, giving these stones wonderful depth and character. Sapphire is a variety of corundum, prized for its exceptional hardness, durability and beautiful range of colors. Although best known for its classic blue varieties, sapphire occurs in nearly every color of the rainbow. Teal sapphires display a combination of blue and green hues, generally influenced by trace amounts of iron within the crystal. Sapphire has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, making it an excellent choice for many jewelry applications.
