An exceptional expression of traditional Swiss haute horlogerie, the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Day-Date and Power Reserve Collection Excellence Platine embodies understated elegance, mechanical sophistication and meticulous craftsmanship. Introduced in 2014 as a limited edition of just 100 individually numbered pieces, reference 85290/000P-9947 celebrates the purity and prestige of platinum through a refined interpretation of classical watchmaking. Crafted entirely from 950 platinum, the beautifully proportioned 39.5mm case measures 10.65mm in thickness and houses an exquisite sandblasted platinum dial. Its subtly grained surface features faceted applied hour markers, elegant dauphine hands and a discreet “Pt950” hallmark between 4 and 5 o’clock. Three carefully balanced subsidiary indications display the day at 9 o’clock, date at 3 o’clock and power reserve at 6 o’clock, each distinguished by heat-blued steel hands. Powering this sophisticated arrangement is Vacheron Constantin’s manufacture Calibre 2475 SC, an automatic mechanical movement comprising 264 components and 27 jewels. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), it delivers approximately 40 hours of power reserve. Exquisite finishing, including Côtes de Genève, bevelled bridges and circular graining, is visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback. Both movement and timepiece bear the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva. Completing the ensemble is a dark blue Mississippiensis alligator leather strap, hand-stitched with silk and platinum thread, secured by a 950 platinum triple-blade folding clasp. Water resistance is rated at 30 metres. Offered in pre-owned condition, this remarkable limited-edition timepiece is accompanied by its original box, papers and warranty dated April 2015 .
