NHU-22 – Nylon Reinforced Halogen Free Polyurethane

NHU-22 is a medium weight (.022") nylon-reinforced polyurethane-coated fabric designed for demanding protective applications where durability, abrasion resistance, and flame performance are important. A strong nylon scrim provides reinforcement and excellent resistance to tearing, while the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) coating provides excellent abrasion and chemical resistance for long-lasting performance in harsh environments. Unlike many conventional flame-retardant coated fabrics, NHU-22 is halogen free, making it an excellent material choice for applications where reduced-halogen construction is required or preferred. The material meets UL94 V-0 flammability requirements and maintains reliable performance across an operating temperature range of -40°F to 248°F (-40°C to 120°C). Available in black, NHU-22 is well suited for custom protective jackets, covers, wraps, and other applications requiring a tough, flexible, high-performance material.
