CBD Trim

THE PRODUCT Mixed CBD Trim is the valuable by-product of processing indoor flowers: the collection of sugar leaves, small residual calyxes and resinous plant material removed during trimming — the manual finishing of flowers — before packaging. The term “trim” literally describes the result of trimming buds, removing the surrounding leaves to enhance their appearance and visual quality. Although this material does not have the compactness or presentation of whole flowers, it is far from worthless: the sugar leaves surrounding the calyxes are covered in glandular trichomes rich in cannabinoids and terpenes, and contain a significant CBD concentration — lower than that of whole flowers, but still appreciable. The Mixed Trim collected from our indoor production comes from several varieties in the catalogue — including Gorilla Glue, White Widow, OG Kush, Zkittlez and other seasonal strains — creating a complex, varied aromatic profile reflecting the genetic diversity of the source plants. An authentic, genuine, waste-conscious product offering an accessible introduction to the world of high-quality CBD. WHAT IS TRIM? Trimming is one of the most important and labour-intensive stages of indoor CBD cannabis post-harvest processing: after drying, every flower is manually finished by skilled operators who use precision scissors to remove the sugar leaves surrounding the calyxes. This process can be performed as “wet trim” (on freshly harvested plants) or “dry trim” (on dried plants), and directly influences the buds' final appearance and aromatic profile. The leaves removed during trimming are covered in trichomes — especially in the area closest to the calyxes — and contain significant concentrations of CBD, CBG and terpenes. Trim collected from high-quality indoor cultivation such as ours is therefore very different from trim from lower-quality cultivation: plant care, the absence of pesticides and the quality of the varieties grown directly influence the terpene and cannabinoid richness of the by-product. Our Mixed Trim is collected, dried and stored with the same care devoted to whole flowers. COMPOSITION AND VARIETIES CBD Trim is by definition variable in composition, as it brings together trimming material produced throughout the indoor growing season. The current batch consists mainly of sugar leaves from the catalogue's principal varieties — including Gorilla Glue, White Widow, OG Kush, Zkittlez, Amnesia and California Haze — together with small residual calyxes and flower fragments that do not reach the minimum size for sale as small buds. Each variety's proportion changes between batches according to seasonal production quantities, making every batch of Trim partly unique in its overall aromatic profile. This variability is one of trim's most fascinating characteristics: the aromatic profile resulting from combining several genetics is often more complex and layered than that of a single strain, with notes overlapping and complementing one another in unpredictable, interesting ways. AROMA CBD Trim's aromatic profile is naturally heterogeneous and layered, resulting from the combination of several genetics bringing their own olfactory signatures. There is no single, consistent aromatic profile as with single-genotype products, but rather a complex, constantly evolving bouquet reflecting the diversity of the starting material. Depending on the batch composition, earthy and resinous notes inherited from Gorilla Glue and White Widow may predominate, alongside citrus and spicy nuances from OG Kush and California Haze, or sweeter, fruitier notes from Zkittlez. In general, Mixed Trim has a more pronounced herbaceous, vegetal profile than whole flowers — due to the greater presence of leaf material — but with a rich, recognisable terpene base revealing its high-quality origins. Aromatic concentration is lower than in whole buds but remains perceptible and appreciable, with an herbaceous freshness reminiscent of a flowering hemp field. USES AND APPLICATIONS CBD Trim lends itself to numerous uses, making it a versatile, valuable product for those working with CBD cannabis. It is an ideal starting point for artisanal extract production: its trichome content makes it suitable for preparing hashish through dry sift or ice water extraction, or oil- or alcohol-based tinctures and infusions. For those making hashish at home, quality trim is often preferable to whole flowers because it offers a similar trichome yield at a significantly lower cost. Trim can also be used directly as loose material, appreciated by those preferring an economical solution without sacrificing certified indoor origins. Whatever the intended use, our Mixed Trim guarantees the same traceability, purity and absence of pesticides as the catalogue's whole flowers, with one of the most competitive price-to-quality ratios in the entire range.
