Driftwood Goose

Along the walk to my cottage at the Maine residency was a spot where the Canada geese liked to hang out - amongst the driftwood. Although I startled them a few times, we learned to be friendly neighbors during my stay :) Maine Scenes are inspired by my 2026 Artist Residency at the Audubon Seabird Institute's Hog Island Camp. During this residency, I made miniature sculptures inspired by the animals and ecosystems around me in coastal Maine. This piece is hand sculpted and painted - made with intention and love. Porcelain with underglaze, wire, glossy glaze.
