Battir

Inspired by the classic lace-up, the Battir is made in bordeaux leather at the height of a flat, to order and by hand. A squared toe and fine tonal ties give it its line, and a panel of tatreez is set into the outer quarter, framed by the leather. Name Named for Battir, a village of stone terraces in the hills south-west of Jerusalem. Panel The women of Masafer Yatta and Tawani embroider a quarter panel that the workshop sets into the leather at the outer quarter, framed by it. On the plain side the shoe reads as a formal flat. Material Bordeaux leather chosen to soften and crease with wear, fully leather lined. A thin, flat, leather-edged sole.
