Straight Up Socks English
Straight Up Socks Knitting Pattern (English) Straight Up Socks are a pair of classic striped socks. At each colour change, one round is purled to emphasise the transition. The socks are worked toe-up. Judy's Magic Cast-On creates an invisible cast-on edge that allows you to work in the round. The work is divided into the instep and sole, and increases are worked on each side to shape the toe. From here, the sock is worked straight up to the heel, which is shaped using gusset increases, short rows across the heel turn and decreases along the back of the heel. The leg is worked straight and finished with a twisted rib edge and Italian bind-off.
