50 Minutes of Grass. Freud Would Cry

Irena Karpa is an unconventional writer, the frontwoman of the band Faktychno Sami, a journalist, and a cultural diplomat. She wrote her famous novels 50 Minutes of Grass and Freud Would Cry at the age of twenty-two. At the time, these texts caused a real stir: they were seen as bold, provocative, and revolutionary. They could shock or captivate, but they never left anyone indifferent. These are stories about real, vibrant women who know how to cry and laugh sincerely, who are not afraid of their own mistakes, and who boldly speak of their desires. In their relationships with men, they set the rules themselves and remain fully in control of their own fate.
