For Murals, Signwriting and Scenic Painting The manufacturer's Scenic & Signwriting range is suitable for interior and exterior walls and ceilings, indoor and outdoor murals, installations and set decoration. Suitable substrates include plasterboard, plaster, hardboard, cement, brick, canvas, timber, metal and glass, with preparation and priming appropriate to the surface. Preparing and Undercoating for Glow Colours Start with a clean, sound and suitably prepared surface. The manufacturer strongly recommends a tinted PERMACRYLIK White undercoat beneath Glow Colours. The Application Guide specifies tinting PERMACRYLIK White Primer with 20% of the PERMACRYLIK Glow Colour being used. Different substrates require specific primers, including timber, metal, glass and canvas. Follow the Application Guide for the correct preparation and priming system before applying your Glow colour. Application, Coverage and Drying Times Application: brush, roller or airless spray. Stir thoroughly before use and remix every two hours during application. Coverage: approximately 8–10m² per litre per coat, as a theoretical guide for the range. Coats: apply a minimum of two even coats. Touch dry: 20–30 minutes at 25°C and 50% relative humidity. Recoat: allow 2–4 hours at 25°C and 50% relative humidity. Cooler or more humid conditions require longer drying times. Clean-up: wash equipment with water immediately after use, while paint is still wet. Keep washings out of drains and waterways. Important Use Notes and Downloads Do not apply in damp or rainy conditions, when rain is forecast within three days, in direct sunlight on hot days, above 35°C, below 15°C ambient temperature or below 12°C surface temperature. Do not apply if temperatures are forecast to fall below 12°C within one day. The range has poor burnish resistance and is not suitable for surfaces subject to vehicle traffic.
